Is Concrete Grinding & Polishing right for your space?
Use this quick fit check before reviewing the process and estimate details.
A good fit for
- Spalled, pitted, or sun-damaged driveways, patios, and entries
- Sound slabs that need a new wear surface instead of replacement
- Decorative upgrades — overlays, microtopping, stain, and seal
- Paver and flagstone surfaces due for cleaning and resealing
Consider another system for
- Structurally failing slabs with deep settlement or heaving
- Sites where drainage problems must be corrected first
- Surfaces better served by a film coating alone, like interior garages
What customers say about the finished work
"We love our garage floor! The workmanship was excellent with clear communication and follow through. I highly recommend Carefree Stone."
"We have had our Kool Deck resurfaced six times in 14 years. Each time, the company made it worse. Puddles formed when..."
What can go wrong without the right system
Sun and monsoon damage
Arizona UV, heat cycles, and monsoon moisture break down unprotected surfaces, causing spalling, pitting, and fading.
Cheap resurfacing jobs
Thin patch products applied without mechanical prep peel and telegraph old damage back through. A proper overlay system bonds to a prepared slab.
Unaddressed cracks
Cracks that are skimmed over instead of routed and repaired reappear in the new surface. Repair scope is part of every honest resurfacing quote.
What's included
- Phased planetary diamond grinding
- Liquid densifier application to harden slab
- Exposes natural aggregate if desired
- Stain-guard application for spill protection
How installation works
- 01
Coarse Grinding
Using metal-bond diamond tooling to strip old sealers, level the concrete slab, and expose aggregates.
- 02
Chemical Densification
Applying a liquid silicate densifier to penetrate and chemically harden the concrete matrix.
- 03
Fine Polishing Steps
Progressing through resin-bond diamond polishing pads from 400 to 3000 grit to achieve the desired level of sheen.
- 04
Stain Guard Treatment
Applying a penetrative stain-resistant guard and burnishing the surface to a high-gloss, mirror finish.
Plan your project.
We'll review the decisions that affect your project. The written proposal controls the final scope.
Timing
Access, surface condition, weather, and cure windows shape the schedule.
Maintenance
Care is matched to the installed finish, traffic, and exposure.
Appearance
Color, gloss, texture, and traction are selected for how the space is used.
Warranty
Coverage follows the system, substrate, preparation, and written proposal.
What we'll review for your estimate
We'll review the slab, preparation, system, access, and when you need the space back in use.
- Square footage of the surface
- Depth of damage and the repair scope required
- System choice — overlay, microtopping, stain and seal
- Finish, texture, and color selection
- Removal or tear-off of failed previous work
