Is Metallic Epoxy Flooring right for your space?

Use this quick fit check before reviewing the process and estimate details.

A good fit for

  • Residential garages, workshops, and storage spaces
  • Interior slabs that see hot tires, vehicle fluids, and daily traffic
  • Homeowners who want a cleaner, brighter, dust-free garage
  • Decorative interior concrete where appearance matters

Consider another system for

  • Exterior driveways — those need an exterior-rated driveway coating
  • Outdoor pool decks and patios — heat and UV call for a different system
  • Slabs with deep structural damage that need overlay or repair first

What customers say about the finished work

"We love our garage floor! The workmanship was excellent with clear communication and follow through. I highly recommend Carefree Stone."
Jeff Peterson
"We have had our Kool Deck resurfaced six times in 14 years. Each time, the company made it worse. Puddles formed when..."
Kaye Helm

What can go wrong without the right system

1
Hot tire pickup

Budget and DIY coatings soften under hot Arizona tires and peel where the vehicle parks. Professional systems use the right chemistry and mechanical prep so the coating stays bonded.

2
No mechanical preparation

Coatings applied over sealed, painted, or dusty concrete sit on top of the slab instead of bonding into it. Diamond grinding opens the surface so the resin anchors.

3
UV ambering

Conventional epoxy-only finishes can yellow near sunlit garage doors. UV-stable polyaspartic topcoats keep the color consistent.

What's included

  • Custom marble and abstract visuals
  • Seamless and highly reflective finishes
  • Wear-resistant finish selected for the expected traffic
  • UV-stable and easy-to-clean topcoats

How installation works

  1. 01

    Substrate Diamond Grinding

Mechanical preparation using coarse diamond segments to open concrete pores to a CSP 2 standard and eliminate contaminants.

  2. 02

    Crack Isolation & Vapor Base

Applying moisture-blocking epoxy primer base and sealing all slab joints or fractures with polyurea menders.

  3. 03

    Metallic Design Coat

Hand-troweling the multi-color metallic resin layer with specialized solvent dispersion techniques to achieve deep, variegated 3D patterns.

  4. 04

    Polyaspartic Seal Coat

Applying a clear, UV-resistant shield topcoat for long-term abrasion, scratch, and chemical protection.

What we'll review for your estimate

We'll review the slab, preparation, system, access, and when you need the space back in use.

  • Square footage of the slab
  • Concrete condition — cracks, spalling, and repairs needed
  • Removal of existing paint, sealer, or an old coating
  • System build — flake, metallic, and topcoat selection
  • Scheduling and cure-time requirements
